Put a little Art in your World!
Join the Friends of the Owatonna Arts Center. It’s easy and fun.
You ask, what do Friends of the OAC do? There are many opportunities;
Make new friendships
Enjoy meeting new artists and seeing their creations
Learning through classes in many different art forms
Take time to relax and read in our library while appreciating the beautiful hand-painted ceiling
Help keep the Art Center a vital part of the community
Have you also been wanting to try something different? There are opportunities for taking part in the many events; you may choose to host at a concert, gallery opening, a Secret Garden, or use your artistic talents by helping decorate for the holidays, sell or take tickets, serve food/beverages.
Or have you always wanted to be a tour guide?
The possibilities are endless.
The Friends invite you to become a member. They meet the third Wednesday of the month at 11:00 am at the Arts Center.
In the January member newsletter, President C J Brase mentioned The Friends of the Arts:
Prior to being on the board a few years ago, I have to admit, I did not know this group existed, as many of you may not as well. What is The Friends of the Arts? This is a great group of “behind the scenes” volunteers. We host many events such as artist receptions, concerts, carolers, Secret Garden, Past Times, Wine Tasting, and Cocoa with Santa. Many cookies/bars have been baked in our ovens. We also help with light cleaning and decorate for Christmas. Due to Covid, the Fall Luncheon, a fundraiser for OAC, has been on hold. We are all Silvan’s extra hands!

No experience needed, men or women are welcome, all that’s required is your smile!
